Having grown up in England, studied in Scotland and Holland, and worked in France and Italy, I finally decided to put down roots in the Netherlands. I graduated with a Master’s in English Literature from the universities of Edinburgh and Amsterdam in 2003, and have been a writer ever since. I started my career writing online training programs in 2004, worked for a corporate communications agency in 2006, moved client-side in 2010, and set up shop as a freelancer in 2014. Throughout all this time, I've specialised in reporting, sustainability and food, although I've also turned my pen to everything from swimwear to software, for clients large and small. Since 2006, I've also maintained my Amsterdam restaurant site, amsterdamfoodie.nl, published a lunch cookbook, and written my own restaurant guide.
